Puzzle #13 – Fibre Choptic

snipped

A row of fibres is gathered up and pinched at a point. Every fibre in the bundle is pulled taught.

The fibres are snipped at the point. The tuft is discarded.

The shortened fibres are made to stand upright.

Question: What curve do the tips of the snipped fibres describe?

I think I’ll have to stop with the wordplay. This has gotta be the nadir.
